There are a number of merit-based scholarships that cover 50% of the MBA tuition fees. The tuition fees may be covered up to 100 percent in exceptional cases, however.

The following criteria must be met by applicants in order to be considered for MBA Regional Excellence Scholarships:

  • It is open to all successful international MBA applicants who have achieved a minimum GMAT score of 600 or higher. The deadline for GMAT applications from Indian and non-Indian regions is 30th June 2021.

  • These scholarships are only available to applicants who have an ‘Offer’, or ‘Accept’ status associated with their GMAT application.
  • We will only consider applications that are complete and received before the scholarship deadline.

  • The degree of a university.
  • Professional experience of at least three years (excluding summer placements, part-time work, and temporary work).
  • A valid score on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT), Full-Time MBA: a minimum score of 600 is preferred. The average GMAT score for our current MBA class is 646. The GMAT score must be 520 or higher for the Executive MBA program.
  • GMAC Executive Assessment (EA): 149 or higher required. You can find more information on the EA here. (Please note that the EA is only accepted for EMBA applicants, with the average score for the class currently being 151/200.)
  • Candidates for the MBA full-time and EMBA must meet the minimum overall GMAT/EA score as well as perform reasonably well in the quantitative component. For both the full-time MBA and EMBA, applicants can submit a valid GRE Test Score instead. There are indicative equivalencies available through the GRE.
  • All applicants must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the English language. The academic version of the IELTS requires an average score of 7.0 over all components and a minimum score of 6.5 in each band. OR a minimum score of 100 must be achieved on the Internet-based TOEFL (iTB), with a minimum score of 24 in Writing and a minimum score of 20 in Reading, Listening, and Speaking.

  • Upon reflection have your career goals, opinion of UCD Smurfit and aspirations to pursue an MBA, changed since your last application? (Max. 300 words). To be completed by re-applicants only.

(3) You should upload the following supporting documentation to your online application:

  • Curriculum Vitae.
  • The official GMAT score report or confirmation of the scheduled GMAT test date.
  • Official IELTS/TOEFL test report or confirmation of IELTS/TOEFL test date (if applicable).
  • Official transcripts of degrees and/or professional qualifications (degree certificates are not required, but may be requested).
  • Please provide two completed MBA Recommendation Forms from current or former employers or clients, if you are self-employed. Before submitting these, they must be signed and scanned by hand. Please ask your referee to email the completed recommendation form to [email protected].
