Important SSDI Payment Dates in November 2023. If you rely on disability benefits, it’s crucial to be well-informed about the significant dates as we approach the end of 2023.
Important Dates for SSDI Beneficiaries
SSDI beneficiaries in the United States should mark their calendars for four vital dates in November 2023. The first of these is the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payment, which can be up to $914, on November 1. Following this, a new check will be issued on November 3.

November 3 Payment for SSDI Recipients
On November 3, some SSDI recipients will receive their payments in just a few hours. Those who are fortunate enough to be on both SSI and SSDI will also receive their Social Security Disability Insurance check on this date.
Some disability benefits recipients may qualify for the November 3 payment if they have been receiving Social Security checks since before May 1997, presenting another possibility.
Maximum Amount for November 3 SSDI Payment
In 2023, the maximum amount that an SSDI recipient can collect on November 3 is up to $3,627. Disabilities often begin long before retirement, which means you may not have had ample time to work and contribute taxes to the Social Security Administration (SSA).
Not contributing taxes to the SSA can result in the absence of retirement or SSDI benefits. Therefore, it is advisable to start paying taxes as soon as you begin working. Occasionally, employers may make errors or fail to pay the correct amount, potentially reducing your future benefits. It’s important to review your earnings statement annually and report any discrepancies to the Administration.
Additional SSDI Payments in November
The Social Security Administration has announced three more SSDI payments after November 3, subject to specific conditions. These payments are available to individuals who did not receive benefits before May 1997.
- November 8 Payment: If your birth date falls between the 1st and the 10th of the month, you can expect your SSDI payment on November 8. The average payment for SSDI beneficiaries was reported as $1,486 in September 2023 by the SSA’s monthly statistical snapshot.
- November 15 Payment: If your birthday falls after the 10th and up to the 20th of the month, your SSDI payment will be processed on November 15. It’s important to note that the maximum payment amounts remain at $3,627 for 2023 and will not increase until January 2023.
- November 22 Payment: SSDI recipients whose birthdays fall between the 21st and the 31st of the month will receive their monthly payment on November 22. This will be the final payday in November 2023.
SSDI Payments in December
For SSDI beneficiaries, December will offer four paydays on December 1, 13, 20, and 27. If your SSDI check is insufficient, consider applying for SSI to potentially receive higher monthly payments.
