Job Information
Duration: 12 months (Starting from 17 March 2025)
Location: Braamfontein, Gauteng
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8 AM – 4:30 PM), with occasional shifts on weekends
Stipend: R 4,500.00 per month (fixed base pay)
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Contact Centre Guide, you will:
- Support young work seekers and entrepreneurs via telephone and email.
- Use active listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills to offer guidance and support.
- Collaborate with team leaders to improve service delivery.
- Participate in learning modules to enhance your skillset.
- Adhere to Harambee’s values and professional working standards.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Harambee Contact Centre Learnership, you must meet the following requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- Must commit to a full-year programme starting March 17, 2025.
- Must reside within two taxi rides from Braamfontein.
- Matric (Grade 12) or Grade 10/LSEN Qualification (for applicants with disabilities).
- No prior work experience is required.
- Not currently employed and not studying full-time. (Part-time studies must not interfere with programme participation.)
- No criminal record.
- Must not have completed or registered for any SETA-accredited learnership.
Preferred Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication in English (Afrikaans is an advantage).
- Basic computer literacy and typing skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- High levels of empathy, patience, and teamwork.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Disciplined, committed, and eager to learn.
