Rules
There are 30 modules in this qualification, with Health Services Management, Education and Community Health being the MAJOR. Upon registration for the BA (CUR), students must submit an Annual Practising Certificate (issued by the South African Nursing Council (SANC) or Nursing Authority in the relevant country) showing registration as a general nurse and midwife.
Those who are not registered as midwives can only register for BA (CUR)-HHS. This qualification is not open to enrolled nurses or auxiliary nurses.
The pre-requisites and/or co-requisites outlined in this qualification may not apply as they are not part of the curriculum. It is important for students to note that they will need to have access to a computer or laptop, printer, and the internet during their studies.
Purpose statement
This qualification provides students with the skills, knowledge and experience they need to: work in teams and individually to solve problems in a professional communication context, manage administration, including financial administration, provide organisational support in a communication environment, and be ethical, ethical, and professional when dealing with clients. Students who qualify can therefore contribute to effective organisational communication as well as to the quality of communication in the public and private sectors.
Who can register?
- Applicants: New applicants and Unisa students who applied for admission to a new qualification may only register if they have accepted an offer of placement from Unisa. In the event you are incorrectly admitted to a qualification, Unisa reserves the right not to process and/or cancel your registration.
- Re-registering students: As soon as the registration period opens for the 2024 academic year, students may register.
