unisa assignment submission

Assignments can be submitted through myUnisa. You can apply for formal course assignments online through myUnisa.

A successful assignment submission can be ensured in three ways:

  • Sending an assignment will result in a simple status message. The message “Assignment received in good order” indicates that your assignment has been successfully received by Unisa.
  • A track and trace number will be included on your receipt on request.
  • Each module’s assignments will be revised after a satisfactory submission is received.

Online submission of written assignments (text)

It is required that you prepare your assignments in a file format that can be uploaded to myUnisa. On the submission screen, the “Specify the type of file” drop-down column requires the file to be in one of the formats listed. There is no restriction on the types of files you can upload. You must select a type that is compatible with the file type you have; otherwise, your lecturer might receive pages filled with garbage.

It could take several minutes for your assignment to be uploaded from your computer to the Unisa network until you click “Continue.” The speed of your Internet connection and the size of your assignment will affect the time it takes. You will be able to review the information on your computer once the task has been submitted. Once you’ve made the changes, you can either press “Submit Assignment” or go back and make changes.

For assignments that include points for layout and formatting, it is recommended that you upload the document as a PDF through myUnisa. You would avoid automatically updating the style and formatting of the assignment after uploading it this way. MyUnisa’s home page offers information on PDF converters under the Electronic Resources section.

The grades for online assignments will be posted on myUnisa. Students would receive marked tasks and have access to them online. Please resubmit your assignment as soon as possible if you make a mistake. The link to re-submit will only appear next to the task number when you are ready to submit your assignment. Make sure your submission is error-free before submitting! You can resubmit your tasks as soon as they are approved. Your assignment should only be resubmitted if it needs to be modified.

PLEASE NOTE:

Unisa requires your assignments to be submitted at least 72 hours before the deadline. Find out if Unisa has accepted your assignments by visiting myUnisa or by sending an e-mail. You can send an email to [email protected] including your student number as the subject line.
