Bursary Value and Funding Structure

The Knysna Rotary Bursary offers financial aid ranging from R6,000 to R30,000, depending on the specific needs and academic performance of the applicant. The bursary is focused on promoting education in basic education and literacy, maternal and child health, as well as economic and community development. The bursary is partially funded by the Rotary Golf weekend and the former Knysna Rotary Cycle Tour, which are pivotal fundraising events for the club.

Funding Allocation

Half of the allocated bursary amount will be paid directly to the student’s institution after the application process is completed.
The remaining half will be released only after the student passes their mid-year exams or course.

As this is a partial bursary, applicants are required to have another source of funding to cover the full cost of their tertiary education.

Eligibility Criteria
