PSiRA YES Programme 2025/2026. The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSiRA) is proud to announce the launch of its Youth Empowerment Service (YES) Programme for the 2025/2026 cycle. This initiative aims to provide unemployed South African youth with valuable work experience, enhancing their employability and contributing to the nation’s economy.

Programme Overview

The PSiRA YES Programme offers 12-month internships across various departments within the organisation. Participants will receive monthly stipends based on their qualification levels:

  • NQF Level 6: R5,000 per month
  • NQF Level 7: R6,000 per month

This structured programme is designed to equip young professionals with practical skills and experience in their respective fields.

  1. Supply Chain Management
    • Qualification: National Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent.
    • Location: Gauteng
  2. Finance: Debt Collection
    • Qualification: National Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Cost Management Accounting, or equivalent.
    • Location: Gauteng
  3. Finance
    • Qualification: National Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Cost Management Accounting, or equivalent.
    • Location: Gauteng
  4. Communications
    • Qualification: Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies or equivalent.
  5. Training
    • Qualification: National Diploma/Degree in Business Management, Education, Training, Administration, or equivalent.
    • Locations: Centurion, Pretoria, Johannesburg, Western Cape, Polokwane, Bloemfontein
  6. Business Information Technology
    • Qualification: National Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  7. Document Management
    • Qualification: BCom in Information Management, BINF Information Science, BA Information Science, Archival Science, or Degree in Records Management.
  8. Human Resource Management
    • Qualification: National Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management or Development.
    • Location: Gauteng
  9. Registration
    • Qualification: National Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Public Management, Public Administration, Office Management and Technology, or equivalent.
    • Locations: Centurion, Pretoria, Johannesburg, Western Cape, Polokwane, Bloemfontein
  10. Complaints Management
    • Qualification: National Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Office Management, or Office Administration.
    • Location: Gauteng

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the PSiRA YES Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
  • Age: Between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Education: Must have studied at an accredited South African educational institution in a relevant field.
  • Previous Participation: Applicants who have previously participated in a YES programme or internship programme will not be considered.
  • Commitment: Must be prepared to sign an agreement with PSiRA and the YES programme.
